Calling all Spartan Alumni: It’s time to dust off that old horn. We want to hear you play! Whether you graduated last year or fifty years ago, we’d like to celebrate your musical background and the end of the 2014 school year by forming a mass band for a Milford community performance!
Consider this a formal invitation for you to join the current Milford High School Marching Spartans in honoring those who have died in our nation’s service by performing together at the 2014 Milford Memorial Day Parade.
The parade will take place on Monday, May 26th. We will meet on the lawn outside the music room (in front of the school) at 9:00am where we’ll form our parade block and run through the music. The parade will begin at the West Street Cemetery at 10:00am. During the parade stops, feel free to step out of the parade block so that you can better observe each of the presentations. The parade will finish at the Milford VFW around 11:00am. Please arrange a ride for yourself from the VFW as we will not be able to provide you with transportation back to the high school.
Plan to wear jeans and a past band shirt (or school colors – blue and white).
Music will be available the morning of the parade. You will need to bring your own instrument and lyre (a limited quantity may be available to borrow) – percussion instruments will be available on a first some first serve basis. Selections for this year’s parade include: God Bless America, Nearer My God to Thee, and Star Spangled Banner.
There will be a brief planning meeting for the 2015 Alumni Parade at MHS approximately 30 minutes after the end of the parade. We would like to form an alumni-based parade committee that could develop and promote this event in future years.

We look forward to performing with you again soon!!
