MVMF:

 

The MVMF band is made up of the finest players from 10 high schools in the Monadnock Valley Region.  Applicants are nominated by their band director and are chosen based on student achievement, musical skill, grade level, and instrumentation. The festival takes place on two separate days at Keene High School.  The first rehearsal is on Thursday, January 9^th, 2014 from 1:30-10:00pm.  The final rehearsal is on Saturday, January 18^th, 2014 from 7:30am-3:00pm.

 

This year’s guest composer/conductor:

 

• Dr. Mark Stickney – Director of Bands at PlymouthStateUniversity

 

The cost for each participant is $10.00 and payment is due by Wednesday, October 23^rd.  Payments should be turned in to Mr. Smith and may be cash or check (made payable to MilfordHigh School). A complete schedule and music will be distributed to each student once the school’s confirmation form and fees have been submitted.

 

The MVMF concert will take place in the Keene HS auditorium at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18^th.  Tickets for friends and relatives attending the concert are $5.00 at the door.  The snow date for the concert is January 25^th, 2014.

 

Transportation will be provided by Milford HS to/from the rehearsal on 1/9/14 and to the rehearsal on 1/18/14.  There will be no school transportation provided home from the concert on 1/18/14.  Please discuss your travel arrangements in advance.
